Matt and Chelsea • San Fran engagement

As many of you already know, I’m deeply in love with the Epic Abyss, amazing and endless possibilities existing in an experience.   One of the questions I get asked the most is, “what exactly IS this experience you promote?”  Does it go without question, well I’m a photographer so I’m in the business of delivering photographs?  Not the way I see it.  Here’s something I found extremely interesting…

The definition of “Art” – the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.

I as an artist express myself through what I deem beautiful.  Photographs in and of themselves are nothing more than milestone markers, nothing artistic about the, and that’s why I don’t sell them.  I sell an experience; an escape into the beautiful abyss of possibility.  Why do I bring all this up and what does it have to do with Chelsea and Matt?  Because they accepted my invitation to live outside their norm; in the rain, in the fog, in the unknown and walked away changed!

Chelsea and Matt were total sweethearts, enthralled with one another and self existent in and of themselves.  We all met at the SFO airport, where I handed over an iflip video camera, where they could document their own story; that footage to come.  We then spent the next 24 hours roaming all over the city; from on top of Lombard St, to the beach.  All I can say was, “what an experience!”
