The cowboy personifies strength and resolve, a kind of self fortitude to get things done on his own.  A wild west rebel without need for anything or anyone.  But on occasion, that cowboy's eye catches the glance of a creature so fair and fine that she alters his course.  He suddenly isn't content with being alone, the resolve has split and joined to another.  To love and be loved, there's nothing more cowboy than that.
