anatomy of a photograph . emotion

Choosing this image was easy.  Sure I took several crystal clear versions of this scene, but the shake and energy that comes from this make it for me.  Nothing says "fake" about this to me, nothing forced or contrived.  Nothing says, look at me!, or brilliant!.  It's simple.

The blur adds to the inherent nervousness that we all feel being so close to one another, it says, "I'm nervous too."  But his eye and slight smile convey a serene sense of calm and comfort.  I like taking couples like this out for a few minutes towards the end of the day, when the nerves have been sedated and the booze has had a chance to kick in.
